Nihon Nohyaku was established in 1928 as Japan's first agrochemical manufacturer, and as a company dedicated to protecting food and the green environment, we have made technological innovations in our core business of developing and promoting agrochemicals.
With the effects of the recent population expansion and global warming on crops as well as the increased demand for bioenergy, the business environment surrounding the agricultural industry has been undergoing a significant transformation. Proper handling of global demand for food supply has become a pressing issue, and in Japan as well as in other countries, debates concerning the expansion of productivity to raise the rate of food self-sufficiency have intensified, and concern for the agricultural industry has been heightened to a new level.
Furthermore, consumers have developed a very high level of awareness with regard to issues involving food safety. Under these conditions, in addition to our company's daily efforts toward the development of new technology, we have been working to contribute to society by creating new products that have a high degree of safety and are gentle to the environment.
In addition, from the basis of our agrochemical research and development technology, we are working in a wide range of chemical fields including pharmaceuticals, veterinary drugs, and organic intermediate development using our company's own, original reaction technology.
As we continue into the future as a research and development company, our fundamental principles from a global perspective are to ensure a safe and steady food supply while protecting our green environment and nature, and all of our employees are striving together in a united effort to meet these goals.
