NIHON NOHYAKU was established in 1928 as Japan’s first dedicated manufacturer of crop protection products. Since then, we have contributed to safe and stable food production by promoting crop protection technologies for controlling pests, diseases, and weeds.
2. We are an R&D-oriented company that creates new value through proprietary research and development capabilities.
We invest approximately 10% of our net sales in research and development, working to create new active ingredients and crop protection technologies. We currently hold 27 proprietary active ingredients and continue to pursue R&D activities with the goal of creating at least one new product every three years.
3. We are a global company, with approximately 70% of sales generated overseas.
We are expanding the registration and adoption of our products around the world. Active ingredients created by NIHON NOHYAKU have been registered as crop protection products in more than 100 countries and regions, and we continue to grow in the global market.

With crop protection products as our core business, we are expanding into fields such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, animal health products, and smart agriculture. Through these businesses, we are creating value that supports food and life.
